Print Driver's Path: Where are they stored?

I’m looking for the path on the Windows 2000 disk to point my Install Wizard to the correct drivers for my HP Deskjet 722C for proper installation. When I tell the Install Wizard to find them, it says it can’t find them. However, I believe it is only looking in the root directory…in other words, it’s missing the sub-directories (folders).

I’m, asking because I really don’t want to BUY a new printer when this one SHOULD be “working and playing nicely” with Windows 2000.

I need the path…brute force guessing is just too inefficient.
Any ideas where the drivers are usually stored?
Thanks,
Jinx

It may be possible that you need to run a setup program in the CD to install the driver.

Question on a related note:
I shared an HP Deskjet 880c in windows 2000 server, and chose the option to install drivers for other operating systems, windows 98/95. Unfortunately, when I did that, I used the wrong driver.

How do I remove or change the windows 98/95 shared print drivers?

I know I submitted this before…
Point it to your I386 (assuming you’re on an intel machine) install files directory. That should work.

Question for Joe_Cool: Your suggestion only works for an Intel? I have an IBM Aptiva. Why should the Install Wizard care? Personally, I was expecting to point the Wizard to the CD-Rom disk for Windows 2000…

Can you help me by being a little more explicit?

Thanks from “dummies”,
