Heard this on the radio and it may have been part of a comedy sketch but I heard that when you are new and go to prison and you meet your cellmate you are forced to toss his salad…
Why?
Apparantly if you have to suck his bleep you can still conceivably imagine it is something else , but when you toss his salad, you can never convince yourself you are doing anything other than eating his ass.

Heck, you shoulda heard that episode of World’s Wildest Police Videos that had to be recalled for editing. Y’know how the narrator, John Bunnell, is always throwing off some lame pun to serve as the moral of the story, i.e. “This crook thought he could get away in an laundry truck, but he’ll have plenty of time to fold sheets in jail!” and “This guy thought robbing an arcade would get him some quick cash, but the only quarters he’ll get are in jail!”
Well, in this episode, Bunnell ended with “This crook thought he could get away in a stolen vegetable truck, but he’ll have plenty of time to toss salads, in jail!” Almost immediately, the episode was withdrawn and a new audio track was added, but I have a bootleg copy.

Sexual assault in prison is a serious problem, but it doesn’t occur nearly as often as is portrayed in the media.
Hell, a lot of prisons don’t even have cells any longer. Many of them have switched to dormitary-style.
