'Pro god, pro life, pro guns'

What other choice are the pro-choice crew invested in, then? The right to choose to eat boiled eggs with or without salt? :dubious:

ETA: Wait, what? The sheep-botherer’s a mod now? Apologies then. :smack:

*its

If you are going to mod, Hal Briston, then why don’t you mod the person that started all the trouble? You cannot let someone flame and then yell at anyone that disagrees. Or can you?

One of the many buttons I have on my hat says “Doing my part to piss off the religious right”. I used to worry about where I wore it, that someone might take offense… But with time I realized that the people who would be offended by it aren’t generally the type to read random things they see. The most recent occasion where someone read it was at an event at a church, and the fellow agreed wholeheartedly with it.

His note was to everyone, including the hijacker. If you are still that upset over it, feel free to use the Pit or GD for the topic of discussion.

Not interested in a debate…I have my opinions and you can have yours.
I was a bit taken aback by the t-shirt though. Where I live a lot of people have He>i bumper stickers or t-shirts so I’m used to that. My dad even wears a WWJD t-shirt so I’m familiar with Christian conservatives…but the ‘pro god, pro life pro guns’ slogan was just so…in your face.

There was a t-shirt going around that said “No God? Know God!” Penn Jillette started to wear a t-shirt that simply said “No God.” People looked to see if it said anything on the back. Nope, simple message.

When I was growing up in Rhode Island a friend of my sisters, a pretty cute girl, very punky, used to wear a shirt that said in BIG BOLD LETTERS

I’M A CUNT

The attention she got for it was just the kind you would expect, and YES, of course, she was baffled why she knew so many sleazy guys.

I think I’d like a bumper sticker that says, “It’s okay if you don’t believe in evolution; evolution believes in you.”

Like so many bumper sticker slogans, it holds up to no scrutiny.

One man’s rhetoric is another man’s declaration of independence.

Saw a T-Shirt on a kid a few months ago. On the front it said:

“Confirmation 2013”

On the back it said:

“Cross it off my list.” Only instead of the word ‘Cross’ it was a picture of a crucifix.

I have a T-shirt that proclaims, in the I<3NY style:

F<3
CK

I get a lot of comments when I wear it.

I don’t find this ridiculous at all.

ARE there many people who find abortion morally problematic or even repellent but find what they consider good reasons for keeping it legal? Sure.

But there are also plenty of people who’ll pretend publicly that they find abortion regrettable, but let down their guard when they THINK they’re among like-minded folks, and say what they really think.

Don’t kid yourself- there are LOTS of people who are pro-abortion.

I have this t-shirt - I have worn it to a couple of protests by angry Christians:

“Jesus says, don’t be a dick”

CITE? Do you know anyone who would vote for a law making abortion mandatory for certain pregnancies? Pro-choice means wanting to keep the choice of abortion legal.

I love the saying “It’s a good thing your mother was pro-life.” Like pro-choice people don’t ever choose to give birth.

The sanctity of life isn’t

Can a true atheist be pro life?

This is a T-shirt thread!!!

Well, it’s trying to be, but some people are making it hard.

Post #5 was the first on subject

Then I gave up looking for on subject posting

Maybe the OP should have used a different example???

It is the SDMB after all.

It’s taking longer than we thought!
