Problem downloading a file for a game.

I play a multiplayer text-based football simulation (Front Office Football). Playing in a multiplayer league involves constantly downloading and exporting files with the commmisioner.

I recently joined a league that’s just getting started, and I haven’t been able to download the league file from the website, here. When I try to downlaod (using the link on the front page), I get a message that says, “The file was not found on the server.”

Apparently, I’m the only one in the league having a problem. I play in similar leagues for this game, and I’ve never had any trouble like this. Does anyone know what the problem might be, or how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the “Download File” link on the bottom of the page that has the link http://www.freewebs.com/fastfl/fastfl04.zip?

Do you consistently get the error every time you try to download? It means what it says, that the file is not available. Some possibilities are that the maintainer of the webpage changed the filename or the link, and fixed it later on.

I was able to download fastfl04.zip and can email it to you if you’d like.

I’ve gotten the same message every time, over the past few days. During that time, the link has been working for everyone else (including you, apparently).

Thank you, but that’s not necessary. I’ll get someone from the league to send me the file, if it comes to that (though that isn’t a long-term solution, and would probably have to abandon the league if that were the only solution).

I’m giving this just one <bump>.

Ooops, that was my bump. Thought I was logged in.

I think the best football simulator out there is www.hattrick.org
