Problem seeing msn.com on my browser

Like it says, I can’t seem to get to msn.com using Internet Explorer on my home computer. I get an error that says: “Sorry, due to heavy traffic on the network, the page you’re trying to reach is temporarily unavailable.”

I have had this problem for the last three days. I have an old version of Netscape on the computer and it will get there with no problem. I have done all of the standard things like rebooting and clearing my cookies to no avail. Any suggestions?

TIA,
Haj

…me too. Looks like MSN is down, huh?

I don’t think so. It works on Netscape on this computer and it works on Internet Explorer at work.

Try clearing your cache. I am getting nothing from here. I suppose that it is possible some ISPs have been cut off, but it is unlikely.

No problems here (on-campus network) - the page pops right up.

MSN.com works fine for me. It is MSNBC.com that I have some problems with but I can get to them if I use a proxy.

Cache is clear (my wife caught me clearing the cache by the way and accused me of accessing nasty sites). My ISP is fine too since Netscape will allow access.

MSNBC.com, MyMSN.com and hotmail.com all work. Only msn.com is acting strange.

Ahh, I found it. MSN.com is blocking Opera browsers, and most likely Netscape as well if it can. IE works fine, as well as a crappy Microsoft produce can.

Yet more evidence of the evils of Microsoft.

…but I am using IE and Netscape works.
