Problem Viewing SDMB in Chrome

Ok, wasn’t sure to put this in ATMB or here, so…forgive me if this is wrong. But the last few months I’ve been having a rather frustrating issue with Chrome and viewing the boards here. Randomly, when I click a thread to view it, only the coding comes up. No matter what I do, refreshing or trying later, those specific threads are never viewable to me. I can’t figure out any pattern as sometimes I can view the first couple of pages in a thread but not anything past that. These same threads load up just fine in Firefox, and I don’t have this problem with any other board but this one. I’m not even sure what’s going on since it’s so sporadic. Any ideas on how to fix this would be much appreciated.

Edit: And ironically. I can’t view my own thread in Chrome.

Are you saying that once this happens to a thread, you’ve found no way of fixing it?

I’ve used Chrome on Windows, Mac and Linux for a year or two, and never seen this. Are you up to date?

First thing to try for any browsing issue is to delete all cookies for SMDB, and the browser cache.

I am on a chromebook and no problems except the “view first unread” link only works sometimes.

Yeah I’d never had this problem before and one day it just randomly started. I had assumed it was a problem with the site at first but as it continued over weeks I knew it was on my end. I initially did try clearing my cookies and it did nothing. But just now, I went in and manually deleted all cookies from this site and it appears to have worked. I hadn’t thought of doing it before so I’m glad for the help :slight_smile: I wish I knew what caused it but for now, it seems to be fixed. Thanks!
