Problem with polls

In this thread that I just started on the economy, I included a poll. I immediately voted in the poll after I posted the thread. I have a phantom vote that seems to be a glitch. Is this possible? Does this make sense?

To further explain: I have included three sections in the poll and I allow for multiple selections. In the section on the economy I voted that the ecomony would remain in recession. It appears that at this time I am the only voter. But the poll shows their are two voters and that someone other than me voted that the economy was in recovery.

I am too tired to expound on this. So if this explanation doesn’t make sense, I will have to wait till tomorrow to explain.

Also: I made the polling public but it does not appear to be so

Click on it again – it’s coming up as public for me, with Giraffe being the other person to vote “stay in recession.” Why do you think there’s a problem? It’s possible to vote in a poll without posting in the thread, so the fact that there were no posts doesn’t mean that there couldn’t be votes.

It’s stilll not showing up as public for me. I’ll clear my cache tomorrow and see if that fixes the problem. I know it sounds weird but I use my cache and I need to wait until I’m more clear-headed to clear it.

I see lots of votes and when I click on view results everyone’s names are listed.

Just try a hard refresh, (CTRL-F5). That should flush your cache for the page you are on, and that page only. (In theory. In practice it sometimes doesn’t work)

I tried CTRL-F5 as you advised. It still isn’t public for me. :frowning:
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try opening in a different browser. I’m currently using ie8. Maybe Firefox will give me different results.

What does this page look like for you:

Hey!! It looks like a public poll! Geez :smack: I just had a really “DUH” moment. It’s working fine. It was operator error. This is so silly. I had forgotten HOW to see the results. I mean I thought there was a “view results” link but I realize that’s when you haven’t voted in a poll. I swear I have voted in a public poll before AND viewed the results. I don’t know how I made such a stupid error. Thanks everyone for your help.

I still don’t know how someone could have voted right as I posted last night, but I guess it’s possible.
