Yesterday I thought I would amuse myself by looking at the photographs from my visit to China.
The pictures will open in Windows Live Photo Gallery. Said gallery includes an option to view photographs as a slide show. If I select that option, I get a message: “Cannot start slide show. There is a problem with Windows Live Movie Maker.”
There used to be no problem but I haven’t looked at those pictures in quite a while so I don’t know when the problem was created. Computer is a two year old Dell with Windows 7 Home Edition. Browser is Firefox.
If you haven’t seen this already, it seems to be a known problem. There’s no firm solution mentioned but there is a workaround suggested on page 3 of that discussion. (Didn’t see a way to link to it, but it’s the second to last post and is marked “Answer.”)
Thanks for the input. I posted this thread prematurely as i am uncovering more new problems. AVG says i don’t have a virus and MalwareBytes says i have no malware; I don’t know where to begin other than buying another computer and downloading nothing to it.
