Manhattan refered me here. So, this is my rephraised question (see “About hypothetical questions” in the BBQ Pit).
There is an OTC pill, with no side efects. Taken daily over a week, it changes person’s “proclivity” from heterosexual to homosexual and vice versa. For the purpose of this discussion (it’s not a poll), we assume that anyone is capaple to have sexual intercourse with either sex, anatomically.
The question: how many homosexuals will be here in a month?
My own answer was 0% in two weeks. I said “two weeks”, because in my imagination, I gave inquisitive people one week to experiment. Then I thought that experiments can take longer, especially considering potential back-and-forths. Then I thought that some heterosexuals (straight) may take the pill as a form of “birth control” and some homosexuals (gays*) would take it to have children, so the percentage would be higher.
*My Webster dictionary defines “gay” as “a homosexusl, usu. male”. I suggest here we use this definition for both sexes, for shortness.
I made the pill to work a week, to avoid side issues with “one night stand”, etc. If you want to widen the study and include other pills, please do not mess here and open your own threads.
Cher, we are even!
You did not get my question, I did not get yours. I did ask a hypothetical question, but I ain’t hypothotesizing nothin.
You asked an alternative question. By definition, it has two clauses. So, “why” …what?
Or is it: “Why are you asking”? Do you really want me to answer this??
What exactly are you asking? What percentage of homosexuals would take a pill that would make them heterosexual, what percentage of heterosexuals would take pill that would make them homosexual, both, or neither?
