Product recommendation - Mr Beams lights from Amazon

My car was broken into a few weeks ago so I got a little bit more security conscious for all things including around my house. The Mr Beams lights on Amazon seem to have a good recommendation and the cost was reasonable at 35 to $60 for a set of three depending on whether you got the high intensity or regular intensity types. There are tons of different types LED lights for all scenarios.

I got 3 of the high-intensity types and 12 D batteries from Amazon and they worked out so well I ordered another set of three for the backyard and shed. They’re quite sturdily made.

They are reliable and the sensitivity is just perfect at about 20 feet. A set of 4 D Amazon Basics alkaline batteries batteries ( about $13 delivered from Amazon Prime) to keep them running for at least a year or two if they are activated a few times a day. They were a cinch to install and setup and there’s no adjustments to fiddle with other than where you want them pointed which is easily done.

Q: Can they be re-charged from a solar set-up?

I love Mr. Beams! I have them in my barn, which doesn’t have electricity. Even with the horses and barn cats tripping them multiple times per day, one set of batteries lasts the fall and winter.
