Professional Fiduciary

Are there any professional fiduciaries here, or people who have had some experience with them?

We are in a position of needing to use a professional fiduciary as the first alternate successor trustee on our family living trust. We interviewed one, she gave us an hour of her time to help us think about how things will play out and so on, and so a little later we went ahead and put her name into the trust document.

What comes next? Do we need to enter into some kind of formal agreement with her, or just notify her of our decision?

No doubt you are asking yourself “Why don’t they just ask her?” That’s a good question. The reason is that she’s a little difficult to reach, and can take several days to respond to queries. I’m hoping to find out what’s expected of us before we talk to her so we can make that one call count.

One bump, just in case.
