Having seen the show, the word was advertorial- a play on an editorial advertisement.

I have a prediction that next week, April will make something in black, with a lot of straps.
I believe that the next challenge is “design your own fabric” (remember Emilio’s SOSA pattern?). It will be hilarious is April designs a black fabric.
I predict Mondo will go with stripes. Gretchen may go with a color she’s used previously in order to solidify her legal ownership of it.

Can someone explain what “editorial” means? Other than making Nina moist, I mean.
I want Mondo to take it all, but I’m very nervous about the previews for next week…
Editorial pieces show strong point of view, and would work very well for a fashion spread in a magazine with a similar point of view.
Whatever it means, it has replaced webinar at the top of my list of Most Annoying and Pretentious Pseudo-words.
I thought it was funny that the bottom three dresses were criticized as costume-y, yet the winning dress had…shields on it. It was the most costume-y of them all.
And I thought that Michale C’s high fashion dress was great, except for the train. And I loved his every day wear dress.
I just saw the commercial for next week, and it looks like there’s some big scandal coming, with allegations of cheating. What’s up with that?
Ten Runway contestants presented at Fashion Week. Several of them have already been eliminated from the show, so there’s a lot of decoy action going on. I’m still thinking Mondo is a “real” competitor.
That must have been wierd for the dropped designers. You’re off the show, but we still need you to produce a line for Fashion Week that nobody is going to pay any attention to.
I don’t know about “nobody is going to pay any attention to.” Way back in season two, Kara Janx was the decoy, and there was a consensus that her collection was the best of the four (no pressure on her, so she just went for it) and she ended up getting venture capital to launch her line anyway.

That’s been in the preview for a few weeks (although I thought the “I’m shaking over this” was part of that too). I hope it finally actually happens next week. It should be good though. Tim was on the Daily Show, and John was saying how crazy this season is and Tim said “Just… Wait…”
I hadn’t seen the previews of this scandal until just last night. I hope it doesn’t involve my little Mondo.

Whatever the scandal is, it’s not bad enough to get anyone kicked off the show. I know from reading news of Fashion Week that all of the final ten designers presented collections. Mondo got some great reviews. I can definitely see him being a very fun famous designer some day.
I thought it was cheating in the Team Challenge when Team Luxe had their models help with the sewing. (Loved the title of that episode: There is an I in Team.)
Am I the only one who doesn’t like Mondo?
I’m not in love with any of this year’s crew, to be honest. I’m not rooting for anyone in the slightest. It’s a matter of who I dislike the least.
I’m not a big fan of Mondo. I think he has a lot of high minded concepts but the houndstooth + stripes + avant garde silhouettes thing is as boring to me as the… I don’t even know how to describe it crap that Gretchen keeps turning out.
I’m rooting for April, at this point. She and Andy are the only ones who haven’t yet made a garment that made me say “WTF?”
Gretchen, Mondo, and Ivy are (were) the the only three who have stood out for me.
Gretchen and Ivy because I don’t like them, and Gretchen has been behaving herself the last couple of episodes, and Mondo because a) those bizarre outfits he wears, and b) the show if focusing on him a little more than the others.
Everyone else is just background noise. From the beginning I’ve felt that all the contestants are lacking in the personality department.

I’m rooting for April, at this point. She and Andy are the only ones who haven’t yet made a garment that made me say “WTF?”
Are we talking about the same April? The April who made the panty-diaper hat challenge monstrosity? The one who made lingerie for the resort-wear challenge? That April? Really? Oh, my.

Gretchen has been behaving herself the last couple of episodes…
I wouldn’t say that Gretchen has been behaving herself. This past week she made a scene because Michael C. “stole” a color that she’d used in a previous challenge. The week before she grabbed a bolt of fabric out of his hands at Mood with the snippy remark that she was planning on using that. She still makes it quite clear that she considers most of the other designers far beneath her in taste and construction skills. And she tries to get cliquey with whomever is doing well (as long as it’s not Michael C.) – since they just might be joining her in the Final Three.
That woman oozes smug.

I’m rooting for April as well. Although I would like to see her make something that isn’t black.
As for Gretchen, I think she got a hold a McCall’s pattern book circa 1978 and just flips to the next page for the next challenge.
I don’t understand how Gretchen was in the top 3, her high fashion look was horrific. I liked Michael C’s dresses - a lot.
