Proper name for people from the virgin island?

I know they aren’t virgins, but are they virgin islanders? virgin islandians? Stupid question, I know, but I’m curious.

My family and I go to the Virgin Islands a lot and we have always heard the term “Virgin Islanders”. I don’t know if this is the official ruling.

“Virgin Islanders” seems to be standard – although I can think of good reasons not to Google it! :smiley:

When I went to St. Croix it seemed that people from that island were known as Cruzan. Although my stay was brief, I think that the Cruzan have a reputation for indolence amongst the people of the relatively more cosmopolitan and industrious St. Thomas.
