(Apologies in advance if my terminology is a little off – despite working in this bio lab for a year and a half I’ve pretty much just been doing programming and network admin stuff, and the details of wet lab biology elude me.)
Anybody out there have any familiarity with using GE’s UNICORN software, particularly with an AKTAPurifier machine? My boss is trying to set it up, and we’ve mostly been able to get it to do what we want, but some of the finer details of writing control methods with UNICORN (we have version 5.2) aren’t covered in the manual or the help files (which are just CHM versions of the paper manuals, it turns out). For instance, we want to have the machine run a wash of 44mL through a column, then inject a sample into the column, then collect 10mL in a 30mm sample tube, then have it move onto a 96-tube array and collect 1mL fractionations in each of those tubes.
Anybody got any experience with this kind of thing? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
