Proud Boy under House Arrest Disappears Before Sentencing

52 years old, facing 14 years in prison, and has cancer? Hell, I’d run too, if I were him. Imagine your last few years being a cancer patient in prison, and even if you live, when you get out, you’ll be in your 60s, with no money, no job, no pension, nothing. Might as well give it a shot.

Really a “no brainer” type of calculation.

Exactly the sort that kind of guy excels at.

No mention of the Proud Boys should go by without a link to their meetup manual, as turned over in discovery in a recent lawsuit, which is worth the next 30 minutes of your time.

No, really. However ridiculous you think these people are, it’s way worse.

I probably should. Unfortunately I’m so pissed off at all of this that I instinctively feel that these a-holes are undeservedly getting a free ride, or a much easier time of it than they actually deserve.

I sure hope the DoC and warden from heavily Blue D.C. didn’t deliberately stall this guy’s surgery for political reasons because that would suck.

Don’t behave like the Deplorables would in your shoes. Gotta be better than that. This scumbucket defendant has rights just like you or me.

I highly doubt it, if only because this happened two years ago, and you’d never have heard the end of it from MTG and her ilk if there were substantial proof to their braying about 1/6 defendants being political prisoners. It’s more likely just the more mundane explanation of jails not treating inmates like human beings because they don’t care, which is hardly more reassuring. Medical care for prisoners is indifferent in the best of situations.

To me that’s worse.

It’s one thing to treat one guy that way.

It’s another to treat everyone that way.

When the budget for the jail is in no way connected to the headcount sentenced to the jail, something is gonna give.

It’s a national disgrace, but we can take a ghastly sort of solace in recognizing we don’t do much better on funding public schools to the need, even in well-off districts. Said another way, we only treat prisoners slightly worse than we treat our own kids. It’s shortsighted selfishness all the way down.

There seems to be some disagreement as to whether this guy actually needed surgery.

From what I’m gathering from this article, he broke his pinky finger, it was splinted but was a little crooked after it healed and he wanted surgery to correct what was essentially a cosmetic issue….with his pinky finger.

This could be a big deal to a tea connoisseur.

What? You mean a Trumpista lied? Where is my fainting couch?

Don’t you remember? You sent it out for repairs.

The original articles I looked did not mention the non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but I would think that would be considered in his sentencing. I’m sure his lawyers would argue for clemency. That said, how is he going to get treatment if he’s on the lam?

Oh, yeh, so I did. Too many sudden impacts, just too much for its fragile structure. Guess I’ll have stick to pearl-clutching – oh, wait, I broke the strand when Himself was indicted in Georgia.

I found one that should hold up.

Oh, shiny! Must be wicked comfortable, too.

This should make him easier to find: “Be on the lookout for a Caucasian male, 52, with a crooked pinky”.

Oh, jeebus, that is sad, pathetic, hilarious and slightly terrifying all at the same time.
