You can go back to the “classic” style though with

classic.wunderground.com

hopefully they keep the classic site around for ever.

I’m so excited to discover other people who frequent this site! My friends and coworkers just use weather.com.

I can’t get on the new site. As soon as I try it shuts down my browser, which is very annoying because I keep multiple tabs open. I will try the classic site and see if that works.

I don’t know. The new site has less ugly colors and seems a little cleaner. The navigation is a little different but once I figured it out, it’s not so bad. Either way, it’s still a good site for weather.

I don’t think it sucks, exactly, but I’m definitely not crazy about the new look.

The reason I say it sucks is that you now have to scroll and look for information that was otherwise right in your face upon loading

the classic one had all the weather data i cared to know, a radar image, links to local warnings and information statements, a 5 day prognostication, and text forecasts (a day or two of which is visible without scrolling), and links to hourly forecast right up front. no need to scroll, or anything.

this new one has blank space on half the width of the window and spreads out the data linearly.

i agree that the “look” is nicer (but the classic one was kitschy so I don’t really mind it) but the presentation of data makes it a whole lot harder to read, and the data isn’t bold enough (i.e. the graphical display is too slick) so that you actually have to “read” the page instead of it popping out at you.

I concur with all of this.

Fortunately, I was able to find the button that takes you back to the old look before I got too annoyed by the new layout.

[If you’re in the new layout, go to the right-hand end of the “Notice anything different?” banner about 2 lines down from the city and state whose forecast you’re getting. It says, “Classic site: here.” Click on the ‘here’.]

I’ll be changing my bookmarks to the ‘classic’ site.

at least, it is going to take some time to get used to it.
Great site, nevertheless.
