My fella has it, over a week in the ICU. I am getting frightened. Can your abdomen rupture? His belly is 4 times the normal size. The medics are pumping in all kinds of antibiotics. He’s really sick.
It’s a bug you only get in the hospital. It does mean that hospital folks are used to dealing with it. I’ve never had it but way back when I was a nurse trainee I encountered it on the hospital floors.
Not from the hospital this time, from working on a septic tank, sadly. The doc said the worst he’s seen in 20 years, but thanks.
