You say that your ex-wife never took any payment for her services.
If that’s true, then why does Randi’s reward matter? Why doesn’t she make arrangements to be tested in a neutral and controlled setting, just for the sake of demonstrating her alleged powers? Could it be that these powers are nothing but the figment of her (or, perhaps more likely, your) fervid imagination? Could it be that, in an actual test in a controlled environment, they would fail to materialize?
I’m always torn about what tone to take in discussions like this. It’s not clear to me whether i should insult and condemn you for being a huckster, or sympathize with you for being really stupid.
This is an episode of The Drew Carey show - Oswald was making “predictions” - horse race winners, earthquakes, volcanoes - they all thought he was psychic. Until Lewis checked in on him one night and saw that Lewis fell asleep with the radio on - he was listening to the World News station while he slept.

The first of many instances when Robyn proved to me her psychic abilities occurred on our second date. Although she had absolutely no knowledge of my family, nor even had a clue I had a brother–indeed, I had lied to her and told her I did not, in an attempt to be sure not to divulge any info she could use to further her psychic claims. As I said, I went into this whole thing as an avid skeptic. At least as much as you guys seem to be.
So she tells me that, well, like it or not…admit to it or not…I DID have a brother. And she said he was in another state, back East. (we were in Texas at the time). She then went on to describe him physically, which she pretty much nailed. She said he was currently hospitalized, but for me not to worry. That there was a nurse who was really taking good care of him. And in fact, that he and this nurse would marry. Or at least begin a lasting and serious relationship.
Well…all of those things happened. My brother married this RN about a year later.
One time about a year after we were married we went for dinner to my boss’s home. Immediately upon entering their gorgeous “McMansion” out by the Lake. Robyn became very distraught and upset. Almost ill. She had never done this before. She took me aside and told me we had to leave, and quickly, She was overcome with an overwhelming sense of dread. Almost like a panic attack. Difficulty breathing and whatnot. Heart palpitations. Again,. she NEVER exhibited these types of symptoms, before or since.
When we excused ourselves after about 15 minutes and got out to our car, she told me she “caught a snapshot” that the house was “soaked” with a dark, heavy, force and that something awful was soon to happen there.
About three weeks later my boss and his wife were found dead in their home. Both shot in the head, execution-style. Seems he was involved in drug smuggling and distribution.
Call it what you want. To me this is concrete proof of her abilities. It cannot be written of as mere coincidence. DO the math on the odds of my boss and his wife getting murdered. Odds are far far greater that Robyn simply is gifted with a heightened sense of perception.
I realize that to you guys…this is all anecdotal. I get it. And that’s fine. But all I can do is relay to you the reasons I know that she was Psychic. And that a handful of others are as well. Thus…my work here is done. Take all that hwo you wish…it is really out of my hands.
Always remember that anything people fear or do not understand is written off by them as either magic or untruth. Remember too that you guys are in no way exempt from this maxim.

None of that is evidence, nor does it actually answer the questions put to you. It does raise other questions, though.

So just to be clear here, she was specifically aware that you were going to test her and/or she would need to prove your claims on the second date. And despite having well below a 100% success rate as stated above, she just happened to get it right when it would be the most convincing?
A “snapshot” and what you are describing are rather two separate things, are they not?
So to be clear, what you are claiming is that she has an ability that is consistent enough to convince people who are emotionally invested in it, but inconsistent enough to be “unproveable” by what the average layman tends to think of as scientific proof.
Furthermore, this ability is sometimes very specific, sometimes just a vague feeling that something bad is going to happen sometimes in the future.
Well, if that’s not convincing, I sure don’t know what is!

Robyn did attempt to convey to my former boss’s wife her feeling that she felt something bad might occur in their home. The woman thanked her for her concern and then apparently did nothing. Or maybe she did, I do not know.
As far as telling law enforcement? Really? Are you retarded? What do you think the cops would do with a warning from a woman they don’t know from Eve who told them she had a premonition of impending mayhem? Exactly. Nothing.

Yet…a million things did not happen, Einstein. Rather, they were murdered in a matter of days. What are the odds? After all, this is not as if my wife said “something will happen” and it was only a flooded basement or a tree branch falling through the roof from a storm, weeks later. Robyn perceived an event so dreadful that she became physically ill. A mere busted roof or a flooded basement would not have that effect.
And there was nothing nebulous about her details about my brother. Or did you conveniently forget that part?
