Public Official to be Indicted Today in Chicago on Corruption Charges

Breaking news here.

No name being given yet. Any guesses? My money is on Roland Burris.

Well, the story says an elected official, and Burris wasn’t elected… but maybe I’m being too literal.

Aw, darn… It’s Alderman Ike Carothers, according to this CBS News report.

Is it really breaking news when an elected official gets indicted in Chicago? I would have thought it would come in somewhere between the sports and the weather… :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, conflict in the Middle East, bear poop found in the woods and an ABS News exclusive investigation into the religious views of Pope Benedict.

It’s breaking news when no one gets indicted for an entire week.
