I thought this was a strange Melbourne idea from above- let’s blame the bloody customers for all the planes being late. I just overheard Lewis Black from the audio of Nothing’s Sacred complaining that the airlines in America tried this shite too.
Are other countries’ Public transport bosses pulling this ?
Nothing new.
In the wonderful Book of Heroic Failures, there is mention of a bus service that had empty buses sail past queues of up to thirty passengers waiting for that bus. Why? Because, according to the transport spokesman for the relevant local authority, the buses stopping to pick up passengers would disrupt the bus timetable.
We’re still in the clear here. Veolia (Connex by another name) for the trains and the bus companies are blaming the infrastructure or lack thereof for delays. Once that’s all settled – then, they’ll get started on us.
No worries here! We don’t care about schedules! You’ll get whatever train or bus you happen to get, and be grateful for it!
