Not when hit by Fire, or Silver, or Silver Fire. Or the Secret Flame of Anor.
But Mithrandir never used the Secret Flame of Anor against Trolls. Of course the Trolls of Middle-Earth were much different from the trolls of D&D or the trolls of Billy Goat gruff.
I think your mistake is probably a good example of trolling. You were just trying to drag myself, QtM, **Arien ** or **Elendil’s Heir ** in here to refute your statement and keep this thread alive, weren’t you?

Just to clarify, HUGE trolls are trawls. Very small trols (too small for both ells) are trils. Certain woven trolls are twills. 
And female trolls are trollops.
And trolls on wheels are trolleys.
I think it’s a sign of the times round here when even the mods can’t spell words like “relevant”.
Oh, well, they manage to make themselves understood, irregardless.
