We adopted the world’s cutest puppy a little over a week ago. A couple of days in, I noticed that I was getting sniffly and had watery eyes around him. And it’s been getting progressively worse.
Since I’m the primary human in his life, we’ve decided that it would be best to find him a more suitable home.
We have a cousin who would like to take him, but couldn’t do so for 4 to 6 weeks. We’d also prefer to rehome him locally, if possible - it’s just less complicated that way. Locally is Columbus/Cincinnati/Dayton, although we’d go a bit farther afield for a good home.
He’s a Siberian Husky, which is a pretty high maintenance breed, so the new homw should probably have a fenced-in area where he can run around.
He’s very interested in bugs and people and other dogs and has learned both “Sit!” and “Run!” pretty consistently. He’s about 10 weeks old and has had his first round of vaccines.
So, dear Dopers: any suggestions on finding him a new home or a temporary foster situation while our cousin is ready? Or anyone willing to foster or provide a new home?
Thanks for any suggestions or support!
