I have to drop my short and furry girl, Crease*, off at the Pet Resort tonight. She is staying there for a few days while El Hubbo and I are down in Tejas for Thanksgiving.
I’ve been thinking about her and have decided I’m puppy-whipped. Evidence:[list=1][li]She gets to stay in the Luxury Suite. Linoleum floor, a bed, TV, and a door leading to her partially-grassed private yard.[/li]
[li]I pay an extra $5.00 each day in order for her to get thirty minutes of one-on-one play time.[/li]

Man, I was glad to see this thread - I forgot to call and cancel my doggie’s kennel reservation. Since my Dalmatian disappeared [sub]sniff[/sub] and my remaining doggie is pretty mellow, I’ve hired a couple of neighborhood girls to tend to her. That way, I don’t have to drive out to the middle of nowhere to drop Bernie off and pick her up, she gets to stay in her own yard, and the girls will also bring in my mail. Plus I’ll save about $35, and the girls will still be overpaid! We all win!
Thanks, but it’s been almost 3 weeks with no sign of her. I’ve been to the pound, I’ve posted notices and all that - I fear she’s gone for good. In my fantasy, she got all lost and confused and made her way to a house full of kids who love her and play with her every day. That works…
I think I’m puppy-whipped, too. I think the clincher was when I realized I’d rather stay home and play with Spanky then head out to a bar with some acquaintances.
Which resort is this? I may look into it for the Spankster when I’m at NYCDope…
Those are both adorable dogs. I’m the same way with my golden, GfH. I pay extra for the “deluxe” package at the kennel, and I’m still miserable knowing he’s at the kennel at all.
