So basic, almost cliche, yet so hilarious!
Here’s my guess as to how the dad/Dwight thing will work out:
Ned wants to “right things”, so alone with the dad and Dwight he touches Dwight, waits a minute. Dad dies and Dwight returns to the living a better person and not wanting to “out” Chuck as he is Chuck-like now.
How could he have forgotten to bring a pie to the sisters? They come in a box you know.
