Yeah, I saw the Onion article, and it definitely has the potential to inflame Hindu extremists and cause a lot of noise. Where it may be right though, is that people probably won’t get killed over it. I’m hoping the direct comparison to Muslim extremism, will help dilute the reaction. Unfortunately, people tend to have difficulty understanding satire in India, the more so if it is in English. Also, the image may be all that gets playtime and then we may be in trouble. Maybe the mocking of all the other major faiths will help.

All that said, I’m glad that image was put out. I’d much rather have religion mocked than not.

Oooh, I’m so mad at you. Because you are cheating. I always like how you stick it to religion on this board, but this time you are cheating and I’m just downright pouty about it.

Ha. While I enjoy DT’s religion bashing as well, there is really no sense in arguing with him. He is routinely dishonest, if only by omission, in his debating (especially when it comes to showing that Christianity is ‘teh evul’). As though the fact that Christianity had similar excesses hundreds of years ago makes the fact that Islam has them in this day and age ok.
