Put a face on a Doper you've never seen -- Round 2
You all continued unpecked and unscratched only through the diplomacy of Kalhoun (madre de todos los niños).
Bah, I wanted to see the cheetahs.
How about moi?

I know your look already from your dating site thread, but before that I thought of you as a clean-cut light-brown-haired preppy guy. Must have been the Boston location.

Unless laugh lines count, only on my ample thighs. I see you fit and tanned in safari gear, ready to play with creepy crawlies. Medium height and build, sun-bleached brown hair.

Sampiro A taller, larger, younger Kevin Spacey.

Eve Eva Gardner

Swampbear Jeramiah Johnson (what MrSin looked like 20 years ago, BTW)

WhatExit Ron Palillo all grown up.
Not even close. The single word that best describes my appearance is “cyclops.” I’m waitng for a man who will gaze soulfully at me and say, “You have lovely eye.”
So dress like a pirate! Arr..

And I’m sure your remaining eye is lovely, but the person behind the eye is vastly more important.

oh and Lobsang Is a werewolf, I don’t know why.

Nope. Tall and skinny, with sunbleached dark brown hair. Mostly found in dresses, skirts, and heels, unless the day is warm and sunny.

Whoops- that link is set to private. Try this one.

Sampiro. (I know, I’m cheating. But Sampiro really is just like Oscar Wilde…only more like Dave Sim’s Oscar.)

Ogre

(That’s for not at least choosing younger slimmer Oscar - I sang or performed the service or did something at your wedding, after all  .)

Here’s a wierd one for Shodan. See, whenever I see his name, I think of the villain of the same name from the game System Shock, who looked like this. Except, when I think of the video game Shodan, I don’t think of that image. I think of this guy, the titular character from the video game Sinistar. Which means that’s who I see whenever I see the poster named Shodan. Which means, ultimatly, that whenever I read the “Regards, Shodan” at the end of one of his posts, what I hear in my head is, “I hunger!”

Also, when I see Beaucarnea’s name, I think of Alexander the Great’s horse, Bucephalus. (Actually, I think of Baron Munchausen’s horse, Bucephalus, because I saw the movie The Adventures of Baron Munchausen before I studied Greek history, but that’s neither here nor there.) Except that it has “carnea” in there, which sounds like “carnivorous.” So when I see Beaucarnea’s name, I picture a man-eating horse.

For Sampiro, I just picture Sean Astin with fangs.

Miller, somewhere out there are a couple of ex boyfriends who just might agree with ya.
Long pin straight sandy hair, pony-tale. Stylish blazer, jeans, sandles…Cup of something sweet like african blended tea, and exotically perfect intellect.

Did you want more?
Gosh, I like you more every day.

My hair is quite straight, but it’s shoulder length and dark dark dark brown. The jeans and sandals, yeah. I own blazers, but wear them rarely. Usually I’m in a fitted t-shirt or tank, or if it’s cold, a turtleneck sweater. I take my coffee black and my Coke straight from the can, but I do have a bizarrely enormous collection of fancy-ass teas in the cupboard. To fill in the blanks a bit, I’m also short, slender, and frequently asked if I’m Asian - olive complexion and poufy eyelids some mistake for an epicanthic fold.

In my mind’s eye, you resemble Donald Sutherland c. 1980.

Hmmm, my hair is the same color and is cut and looks much like Robert Redford…Make Matt Damon 225 instead of 180 and thats about right. Usually in Jeans and T-shirt occasionally a sport coat with that mix. Keens or loafers or my favorite Merrils, and you’ve got a 30 something Phlosphr…

You spoke, ya big tard.

And thanks, buddy.

It wasn’t really Oscar’s physical appearance, per se. It was more his mode of conversation, and general demeanor. I can’t figure out how Sim captured you so well without knowing you.

Well… I’ve seen pictures of Sampiro, but before knowing what he looked like, I pictured him to look like this fellow. To find that picture, I did a Google image search for “distinguished gentleman”, and filtered through the pictures of Eddie Murphy. But that particular picture I linked to, that was always Sampiro in my mind.

Beaucarnea–I forgot we had dogs that looked alike. It’s neat to be able to see what Sadie will look like as an adult. Here she is last week, at 4 months and 45# pounds.

I want to see what Jodi looks like!

Aw, Sadie is so pretty! She still has puppy face. Shelby is still growing- she will be one year on April 19th- so she may get a little bit larger, so I’m thinking about adding coffee and cigarettes to her diet. Huge dog. Huge.
Oh, and dahfisheroo looks like Tori Amos.

I love WhyNot 's post, but because of her name I always think of a petite woman with curly hair in a sailor’s suit, tying (k)nots.

Autolycus would look kind of like a slightly older Ron Weasly, though a little more filled out.

That sounds funny…knowing what we do about our little Autolycus.

Ok Ron Weasley with kitchen implements and a sushi rice cooker. :stuck_out_tongue:
