Puzzle: Cross off words as the clues eliminate them. What's left?

So this may be fun for some and a fun way to pass some time if you’re bored or need some time being passed.

Work the puzzle out and spoil your answer once you have it.

Using the clues, eliminate words one by one until only a few are left. The remaining words left over will form a sentence when read in order from top to right.

The Clues:

  1. Cross off all six letter words that contain only one vowel (A, E, I, O, or U).

  2. Cross off all of the words in column B and D that contain the letter V.

  3. Cross off each word that appears IMMEDIATELY UNDER a two letter word.

  4. Cross off all three letter words in columns A and C.

  5. Cross off any and all words if it has the same letter of the alphabet appearing three times in it.

  6. Cross off all words in columns A and D that rhyme with the word “file”.

  7. Cross off each word of three (or more) letters in columns B and C if it can become a new word by doubling its last letter.

  8. Cross off any four letter word that can become the word “pink” if you change just one of its letters.

9.Cross off any word in column D that is found (uninterrupted) in the very first/top word of that column (column D).

  1. Cross off all words that are types of male animals.
