If the villagers wanted to protect the orchard from pythons, well, they’ll need much bigger dogs. But if pythons aren’t the problem, maybe they don’t need the dogs at all – seems to me the python’s doing a great job of protecting the orchard.
Of course, the problem is if the python’s had plenty to eat, he’s not going to be too interested in protecting the orchard.
