We just signed up with Netflix recently, so now I’m going bonzo catching up with all the shows I’ve missed on Showtime, etc.
I’ve seen season one, and most of season two. I’m about to watch the last four eps of season two, and the next disc they’re going to send me is the season two bonus disc.
Do I even want this? It gets automatically added to your queue when you add a season disc set. But I’m anxious to get on with the show (as well as other shows & movies) so should I remove the bonus disc from my queue, or is there something on there I need to see?
Don’t know what is on the bonus disc but have watched QAF from episode one. Actually signed up for Showtime because of the series. There are not a whole lot of fans of the show on this board so I wouldn’t expect a whole lot of answers to your question.
If you do get the bonus disc, write back and let the few of us who watch the show know how it was/is.
I’ll leave it in the queue, and should get it Tuesday. I’ll let you know what’s on it.
I’m just about to watch the final episode of season two. Hopefully it won’t be as traumatic as the season finale from season one, but I’m realllly nervous about Ben. Ben’s about the closest thing to a TV boyfriend for me at the moment.
OK, just got done watching the bonus DVD. Nothing too exciting. Some backstage footage, the producers talking about this & that, a fairly lengthy section with everyone talking about the Babylon (the club everyone hangs out at) set, and what Babylon means to the characters, their community, ect.
Some out-takes, but nothing too hilarious.
Some pictures from the Rage Gay Crusader comic as well as a “making of” type documentary about the Rage promotion Brian threw at Babylon. The artist who drew the picture of Rage that was blown up and used over the entrance of the club, he told a little story about how he had his boyfriend pose in his underwear so he could get the legs right in his drawing. So “those are his legs.”
Some video footage of the cast as they toured various gay pride celebrations around the country in 2002.
Very short little interview/snippets with the cast members. Nothing interesting, except Randy Harrison, who plays Justin sounded kinda dumb. “The show’s great and funny and it has gay sex in it and it’s been accepted by like, you know, by a lot of people.”
Some sneak peaks at season three, and lastly an episode of the Showtime cartoon, Queer Duck.
You definitely didn’t miss anything, unless you’re really a die-hard QAF fan, and simply can’t get enough of everything QAF.
Thanks for the report, and it sounds like we should also thank you for saving us from wasting our time watching the bonus disk…maybe a nice feature if you bought the set, but otherwise…
