We aren’t talking political negotiations here. We are talking about peoples lives. There is no time to go slow.
The reason why Iran rightfully does not accept any “help” from Israel is two-fold.
Firstly, Israel would send spies in Iran. That is a fact.
Secondly, Israel would send spies into Iran.
Oh, did I mention that Israel would send spies in Iran?
You have to be really ignorant to question why Iran would not want Israel’s help.
As for someone else’s question about Iran offering help if Israel suffered a huge natural disaster…of course Iran would offer (just as Iran offers to all countires in the same position) and Israel would refuse.
Nobody seriously suggested that Israel would send personnel to Iran. We’re talking humanitarian aid here. And the reason Iran should refuse food and blankets that come from Israel is… ?

Iran and Israel probably have the most conductive relationship, after Israel and Turkey. During Gulf war one , between Iran and Iraq , the whole arms for money deal , was brokered and conducted by Israel.
The American govt shipped IHAWKS to Israel , as the end user ,who then transhipped the missiles and other spare parts for Irans airforce , to Iran.
But your statement at the end says it all, both will probably say in public , that they will not accept or ask for aid , and yet , in private the local airports are probably not going to look real hard at the national insignia on those C-130’s.
As for the spies , they are already there.

Israel doesn’t want war with anyone anyway. They aren’t the ones trying to do away with the Muslim world. It’s the Muslim world that wants to do away with them.
No, we aren’t talking about people’s lives. The aid was secured by the underlings. You’re talking about political and diplomatic statements.
Unfortunately, political reality doesn’t allow for high level talks and photo ops between Bush and Khatami right now.
