Quarantined

Are people in the US ever quarantined for disease? What diseases can a person be quarantined for? Can a person be quarantined for hepatitis B?

I think you mean isolated, not quarantined. I think there are still laws on the books that permit isolation of some infectious people but the only cases of such isolation that I know of in recent years in the U.S. have been people with mutiple drug-resistant tuberculosis.

I see you’re talking about the US, but people have been quarentined in Canada for SARS recently… and some weren’t pleased about it. I’m pretty sure the same could happen in the US, but I admit I can’t give a source.
