Queen Elizabeth's and Prince Philip's birthdays

Queen Elizabeth is celebrating her 90th birthday. Her real birthday is in April, but the official celebration is always in June.

And Prince Philip just turned 95.

Here’s a slideshow, if anybody is interested. From this link–
Prince Philip is “both the longest-serving spouse of a reigning British monarch and the oldest male British royal of all time.”

Whichever one of them dies first, the other is going to be absolutely devastated. They’ve been married 68 years.

Piet de Jong, who served until 1971 as the prime minister of Netherlands, is 101.

If he is still alive next February 2, former Vietnamese Prime Minister Đỗ Mười will ceelbrate his 100th birthday. He served in office until 1991. He resigned as the general secretary of the ruling Communist Party in 1997.

I know people get on Prince Philip because of some of the things he has said, but I think they are a remarkable couple, and hope they both live a great deal longer.

About a month ago I bought a solar powered Queen Elizabeth and a corgi. Now when I pull up the blinds, she starts waving at me, and the corgi wags his head. Very cheerful.

I read somewhere that she was born by cesarean section. For the procedure to have been performed in 1926 means that their doctors nearly lost both of them.

I thought Prince Philip was looking pretty good at the trooping of the colour the other day. Definitely better than my gran who is the same age…

I met Prince Phiilip about 40-some years ago. Cool dude. He hangs out on the sidelines chatting with whomever, while his wife shakes hands with people in the receiving line.

All sorts of excellent people were born on June 10th.

It’s also interesting how much William is starting to look like Philip rather than Charles.

Yep. Her & and her sister both were… Evidently, she was breech.

That can only be a good thing. But he still has his mother’s teeth.

Yeah, definitely a combo of Charles and Philip there. Very little Diana in him.

I know that he is pretty close relationship wise and personality wise to Charles as well, but a lot better at social interaction.
