Well, week one of the Tour de France is over. So far no one has tested positive to doping (except us :D) Laurent Jalabert won for France on Bastille day which I guess would be equal to a US victory in the world cup on the 4th of July. Germany’s Jens Voigt took the leader’s yellow jersey from teammate Stuart O’Grady with his second-place finish.

So how many people care? Why is it that ESPN2 will show the strong man lumber jack competition or the Gaelic games but they wont show probably the hardest physical and mental battle in the world?

Anyone who’s interested care to share their thoughts on bicycling, the Tour, Armstrong, or just general comments please do!

You forgot “Magic: The Gathering” tournaments. I’ve seen those on ESPN2 as well.

I don’t have cable. On regular tv this weekend, where sports usually rules, I get my choice of the Beverly Hillbillies movie, NASCAR, or Womens Laserjet Bicycle racing. No Tour de France.

I’d love to watch it, even on tape when I know who won that stage already that day. But nothing.

think i’ll go for a bike ride.
