Question about 9-11

What are you saying? If 2,000 people died then you would take responsibility, but not 3,000 ?

Please make a point.

Move on until the next group of assholes wants something from America and kills another 3,000 or 2,999 or one?

I see no reason for them to stop if they get what they want.

All they want is America to stop being a right-wing neo-fascist nation of war-happy idiots.
If they got what they wanted, they’d have to stop, because there would be no more reason for them to attack a quiet, well-behaved America…

Americans don’t need to take responsibility for this, except to vote for folks who don’t run roughshod over the world at the behest of extractive industries.

However that is nigh on difficult to achieve, since even if we vote out the big biz lackeys, they toss the result. Besides, once Mr. Smith gets to Washington, he finds out he’s not gonna be holding the reins, votes like the rest of them and gets a nifty reelection fund.

That can’t be true. Why don’t you call on your congressman to explain is actions… can’t you do that ?

Is supporting Israel quiet and well behaved?

Not if that means that Israel may do with the palestinians whatever they do, as they do now.

Thus, no.

Why does the US have to start taking sides on everything? Stop supporting / undermining different regimes. None of this is your business. To answer your question, ** No **, supporting Israel is neither quiet nor well-behaved…

America should support Americas unemployed and sick, like most normal 1st world countries and forget about trying to influence the rest of the world.

You’re the type of person that got America into the mess it’s currently in…

My point being that there may be other things they…whoever “they” are want from us.

All they want is for America to shut-up and go home. Not too much to ask, is it?

BWAAHAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously,

BWAAHAHAHAHAHA!

The problem is, you can call your congressman and talk till you’re blue in the face, but you’ll just get lip service unless you’re a big contributor. Most people don’t vote based on how their representative voted (that would require study). They vote based on political party or rhetoric or looks. Incumbents have a vast advantage. Democrats as well as Republicans voted like lemmings for horrible legislation that severly tests our concept of individual rights. The bastards should be turned out like the rats they are. But if you’re a Democrat, what are you gonna do? Vote for the Republican? That’ll just make it worse.

Political power and the corruption within it have permeated our political landscape due to the vagueness of our own constitution and the lack of cohesive opposition to business as usual. We are not nearly as free as we are thought to be, not because we don’t have these freedoms, just that exercising them has virtually no effect.

** An Arky ** - that is actually very depressing. I know a “two party system” and blah blah blah, but is there nothing that could be done ?

And as the mother-of-all-hijacks, why can’t you set up a third party ? I’m sure there is a very good reason for this, I’m just not aware of what it is…

Interesting. I have no idea what you’re talking about, but it’s certainly worth noting.

Is this what you’d call the prevailing view in Ireland? Maybe the entire UK, the rest of the world…?

  1. Ireland Isn’t part of the U.K.
While U.S. foreign policy does attract much criticism and condemnation outside the U.S., most people know that the fault lies at the feet of the Administration. Tarantula is the in the few.

Well, frankly, yes.

See, if the US would just stop screwing around with other countries, to further its interests, there would be no reason for people to see you as the imperialist fascist pig-dogs of satan. Now, would there?

Sorry, TwistofFate, just trying to set parameters.

So most people in ______ know that the Bush administration is responsible for 9/11, because…?

Duly noted, Latro.

Sublime, simply sublime. I’m shocked that your subtle thinking has yet to pop you to the top of the foreign affairs department. A super power that doesn’t manage to piss people off while struggling with it polar opposite over 40 years would be impressive. Highly unlikely, but impressive. Never mind. You sir with your scattershot approach have convinced me!
Now which US government (common usage, of say Gummint, means nothing right?) administration should we be bumping off? Ford? Kennedy? Nixon? Johnson? Clinton (assuming he was also a member of a “right-wing neo-fascist nation of war-happy idiots”)? Should those involved with say Somalia humanitarian relief and the fiasco there be bombed for Iraq sanctions? Perhaps the current “Gummint” should be taken to task for the Shah.
Now would you say that the 3000 people in the planes and the WTC were not directly involved in those actions? Would it be possible that they did not deserve to die?

Oh, and to close, your logical structure sucks.

Tee while the majority of Ireland and the rest of Europe may more right wing and broadly not as supportive of the war. Tarantula does not speak for me or any other Irish person other than himself.

Notice the way we’re all jumping to his defense

Ralph Nader caused the Democrats to lose the election to those Fascist-what-ever-you-called-them bad guys.

I wouldn’t know.
They might blow stuff up because the Dixie Chicks don’t wear enoigh clothes to suit them. Or they might not like MCRib sandwiches.
