I got a broken nose about 5 years ago. Since then it has been crooked because I never got it “set” the way I should have. If I was to break it again, could they set it so that it is straight without having to have cosmetic surgery? Thanks in advance, Paco.
I don’t think that many broken noses can really get ‘set.’ Of course, it all depends on the break. You’re unlikely to break it along the original fracture line. Odds are that you’d just make your nose more crooked. If it’s important to you, get a doc to do it rigt the first time.
You’re not really considering breaking your nose on purpose, are you?
When I busted my nose up it was the worst thing that ever happened to me. That REALLY hurts. My face was messed up for weeks.
I don’t think anyones nose sets exactly right after it’s been broke. I have a piece of cartilage floating around that didn’t set. It makes a clicking sound when I rub my finger lightly over my nose. I know a guy who’s nose was extremely crooked after he had it broke in a car accident. A plastic surgeon fixed him up real good. Go talk to one.
