Yesterday afternon I put some Advantage on Julius.
Now this morning he appears to be going crazy, scratching fleas. I have never seen him react to it that way. Is it within the range of normal?
Was this Advantage FOR CATS? Because if it was the dog kind you should take your guy to the vet, the dog stuff can be deadly to cats. Even if it was the cat kind sounds like an allergic reaction.
Yes, it was for cats. Got it from the vet. Julius has had it before and never reacted this way.
One of my cats had that reaction once. I called the vet and they said that the fleas go berserk with biting and movement before they die and it can sometimes make the cats go itchy and twitchy.
BUT, this was years ago, I may not remember it right, and I would absolutely hate to give you wrong advice about your cat. I’d suggest calling them. Unless the cat appears to be having a seizure or drooling or something more poisoning looking, in which case get him in there pronto.
