At Midway Airport I know that many car rental agencies have their cars located in the main parking garage, so you can walk there from the terminal. But some agencies, such as National, require you to take a shuttle to get to their cars.
Could someone give me a list of those agencies which do have their cars in the terminal parking garage? I’m planning a trip there soon. In the past I’ve used both Avis (in the gararge) and National (not) and it was much, much more convenient when the car was in the parking garage.

I guess nobody knows. I thought this place had a lot of Chicago experts. Oh, well.
Well those of us who live here rarely rent a car here. You are better off asking people who travel to Chicago.
I tried to research it for you, but the Midway website didn’t distinguish, and the travel sites count it as “in-airport” if they have a rental counter in the airport.
There are only eight rental car companies at Midway, so you could start with the best price and then call to confirm.
Currently listed, I have Enterprise, National, Dollar, and Thrifty with counters in the terminal. I’m not in Chicago, but am a travel agent.
