Are the three counties left… Manatee, Polk, Seminole very big? (What are they populated by, farmers, elderly, what?)
I live in Polk County. I think we are the biggest county in Florida, but by far do not have the largest population. Manatee County is on the southwest coast. They are a relatively small county but heavy populated. Seminole County is not a large county and I’m not sure about the population. You can go here to see the ballot counts by county. http://www.tbo.com
Polk County and Seminole County are in Central Florida.
Also, Polk County’s recount was just turned in to Tallahassee.
Dagnabit, I’m home on vacation and my Atlas of Florida (with population stats) is at work :mad:!
Seminole County - physically small, mixture of rural and suburban, but population growing very quickly, especially around Interstate 4.
Polk County - physically large, quite rural (farming - especially winter vegetables [mmmmm Plant City Strawberries] but subdivisions are on the increase, especially around Interstate 4 and Lakeland.
Manatee County - need my atlas for that area - I deal especially with the central part of the state.
Actually, Plant City is in Hillsborough County
::makes note to buy state atlas for home use::
::walks over to wall::
::draws red ‘X’ at eye level::
::bangs head on ‘X’ repeatedly::
::walks back to computer, abashed::
::sighs::
