In one of Gatorade’s neon sweat line of commercials, there is a narrator who’s accent has really caught my ear. I was wondering if anyone can place it.
The ad is probably called “Sport is Sport” and it talks about how no matter where you play, you’re going to get hot and need more electrolytes. The voice over is something like:
Sport is sport
A foul is foul
and a bat’s a bat
even if its flat (pic. of a cricket bat)
Where 10 feet on the west side
is ten feet on the east side (pic. of Yao Ming)
Where football (pic. of American football) is football (pic. of Australian rules)
unless its football (soccer ball).
Anyway, where is that guy from? One opinion in the nrd household is that he’s Irish or Scots, but that doesn’t sound quite right.
