My wife and i are Netflix members who live in Baltimore. Today we’re off to San Francisco for two weeks. We’re taking one of our Netflix discs with us, as we haven’t watched it yet and thought that the holiday would be a good opportunity.
Now, the return address on our Netflix envelopes says:
Nearest Netflix Shipping Facility
PO Box 9410
Gaithersburg, MD 20898-9410
Will i encounter any problems if i post this disc from San Francisco?
My assumption is that the post office will ship the disc to the actual address in Maryland, rather than the “Nearest Netflix Shipping Facility.” Can anyone confirm this for me? Has anyone done this sort of thing with Netflix before?
They’ll send it to the address on the envelope. You’ll be fine.
Even if they did send it to the nearest facility, you’d still be fine. There have been times where I’ve had envelopes to different cities, and swapped the discs, so they got returned to different cities than they were sent from. There weren’t any problems.
I did this with Blockbuster when I moved from South Florida to Atlanta. I brought the DVDs with me and just mailed them off in Atlanta once I had updated my address on their system. They found their way back to Miami just fine.
