I’ve recently had trouble reaching the season/episode menu screen.
Starting on the home menu. The tv shows are listed.
Clicking a show used to bring up the season/episode menu.
Now it just starts playing the next episode.
For example, if I had watched Season 2, episode 4. The next to play is ep 5
I like to jump around and watch specific episodes.
Anyone found how to get to the Season/episode menu?
I’m not in front of a TV to try it, but for some apps you can click and hold on the show to get a menu for going to the show page instead of starting the next episode.
I realize now that launching a tv show under home screen, “Keep Watching” plays the next episode.
That makes sense. That’s what you would want
But, there’s no option to reach the shows menu and pick a different season or episode. It just wants to play the episodes sequentially.
However, if I leave the home screen and go to “+ My List”
Select the show there, I get the season/episode menu
It’s a subtle change. But had me confused.
I’m rewatching Star Trek the original series. I’ve seen the entire series multiple times since childhood.
There’s a few bad episodes that I never want to watch again.
I’m watching sequentially, and skip past an episode that I’m not interested in.
This frustrates me a lot because I often fall asleep and the app will autoplay a whole season. I’ve taken to adding shows to my list so I can get to the episode list easily and pick up where I fell asleep.
That happens to me too.
I fall asleep and have to back up and watch episodes that played while 
Paramount+ did have an option in setup to autoplay or go back to the menu.
Setup has been removed now.

Setup used to be the last option. It’s gone entirely
The Paramount+ app is truly the worst app I have ever had to use. Sometimes I think they are failing intentionally.
But as long as they are running Star Trek I’ll be stuck with it.

Yeah, they used to have a setting to not autoplay trailers too. When I’m aimlessly browsing for something to watch that is another annoyance that can no longer be turned off. I imagine that sometime in the next year when they merge their content with HBO/Warner/Discovery we’ll get a new app but who knows if it’ll be better or worse than the current apps. I really wish someone would put out an aggregator similar to Movies Anywhere to merge streaming subscriptions into a single app.
My annual just renewed. I feel the same way about South America (Park) and the Taylor Sheridan series I’m addicted to hatewatching. If it weren’t for the 50% veteran discount I’d just cancel it and pay for a single month when the full season is available.
I subscribe to Paramount+ primarily for their archive of tv series.
I have trouble finding movies that I’m interested in on Paramount+.
The Mission Impossible films are there.
I find better movies on HBO/Max.
Now that Skydance bought Warner Bros Discovery, the two streaming services may be merging. I agree that HBO Max has better content than Paramount+.
I have probably said this exact thing a dozen times in the last few years. If they didn’t have the sports I want to see, and even then if it weren’t free through Walmart+, I’d never subscribe.
A feature about Paramount+ that I appreciate and many overlook is their live coverage by the local CBS station. We have a lake house where we don’t subscribe to cable, but we have high-speed internet. It gives us access to local news and sports, and most importantly, weather.
It’s there for me. It may have to do with the device you are watching the app on. I have found that the same app will have a different layout if it’s on a Roku, Fire stick or AppleTV+.
I am watching on a Roku and when I select Keep Watching, it will open the page for the episode I stopped on, and if I click down the other episodes and seasons are listed below.
I’m using Vizio.
The Paramount+ app was working ok until recent changes.
I did find a work around by going to My List to start the episode.
At least until they mess with the App layout again.
