Question about two Bugs Bunny songs

I’ve been watching Looney Tunes on Boomerang lately and there’s a couple of toons where Bugs is singing about carrots (big surprise).

One goes, “Carrots wait for no one, so I’ll pick them now”, and, “Carrots are divine, you get a dozen for a dime, it’s magic”.

What songs are these based on?

There was a popular song in the late '40s called “It’s Magic.” Doris Day sang it. I think the second song is based on that.

Don’t know about the first one, but the second is based on “It’s Magic” sung by Doris Day in 1948.

Here is the song I had in mind.

The first song may be based upon Time Waits for No One, sung by Helen Forrest.

Thanks for the rapid answers.

Don’t know what it is based on, but you can hear it here (near the bottom of the page).

Cool site. The other song is there, too (about the middle of the page).
