Question about ZHLF210's OP

I have no problem with the OP about Scalar weapons, but it seems as though if 16,278 people read it and 564 people replied to the OP, why has it not been moved out of GQ? Many people, including myself, have had their OP’s moved after 5,10,15 responses. Historically, what is the greatest number of readership and responses for GQ before it was moved or stopped?

This thread looks like it belongs in the “About This Message Board” forum.
OTOH, I agree with you.

Oh how ironic that this thread will be moved before the “Scalar” thread.

I haven’t read the posts (way too many for me to start reading now) and I assume it had a factual question. Was it answered and now turning into a debate? Are other related questions being asked? I agree though that it seems rather large for a GQ thread.

Just imagine is the there was a “What if Scalar weapons were used in LOTR” thread". Now that would generate a lot of replies.

One of the side effects of dealing with very smart people is putting up with their sense of humor. The scalar weapon thread has turned into a running joke. It may not be strictly appropriate for GQ, but it’s worth it’s weight in pixels if it entertains the people who hang out here and give serious answers to other questions.

That thread has gotten so big and so out of hand, I’m afraid I might bust a gut if I tried to move it now. Maybe I’ll close it if I ever find a lock big enough for it. Meanwhile, I better move this one to ATMB before it gets out of hand too.

It has nothing to do with anybody pointing a 1920s style death ray at my head, I swear.

Sure bibliophage, sure.

Of course nobody’s threatening bibliophage with a 1920’s-style death ray. It’s so much more effective to threaten him with a 1940’s-style death ray (the so-called “Atomic Rays”). Much more stylish, too.
