I’m trying to find the name of a song from the original Alvin show(the one from the 60’s, not the bastard remake from the 80’s). It’s largely instrumental(thereby making it impossible to find on a lyric search). It sounds mexican, with a lot of trumpets; Every so often, the music stops and Alvin starts to sing(the first line apparently starts “Oh,Senorita…”), but then the music starts back up again, drowning poor Alvin out. The song ends with Alvin finally getting a chance to sing, only to be told by someone, “Senor Alvin, you are too late, the song ees over!”
As I said it has a real mexican/spanish feel, almost like a Flamenco.
I do also seem to recall that I had it on 45 when I was a kid, but I believe it was a b-side to something else.
Does anyone have any idea what this song is called?
Thanx
