She has been off Accutante for two months and can not reach her Dr. She normally does not drink but wants to know if she can go out drinking tomorrow night?
I am not a doctor, but according to Roche, Isotretinoin has a half-life of 21 hours - so two months seem quite safe to me, as long as there aren’t any liver issues.
She thanks you. As do I
When I was on it, my mom was worried about liver damage. They only check for liver problems once a month, and the doctor explained that was because it takes about a month or so before the drug is completely gone from your body once you stop taking it.
So yeah, it should be okay, I think.
Requesting medical advice from a message board about drinking after taking a strong medication is incredibly stupid. Giving advice without knowing the patient’s condition is even more incredibly stupid, and relying on such advice is just plain fuckin’ dumb. Don’t do this again.
