I have a brother, and I’m not gay so… no, N/A.
Probably every time he tells that story!
Once, when we were teenagers, my sister came out of the hallway wearing a new bikini and I blurted out “If I wasn’t related…” I left out the rest of that thought. I also had a gay sex dream about my brother. But other than that, I don’t think I’ve ever thought of any family members in that way. IANA parent, but I imagine it’s something like that. You might have moments, but overall you just don’t ever think about them that way.
You build a relationship with the person over the course of a decade and a half before you get to that point. The roles are fairly well cemented by the time that stuff comes around.
Heh. My kid, I think is good looking, from an objective viewpoint. Random people come up to us and tell us he’s very handsome.
The fact that he’s 15 months old, a dude, and looks vaguely like me cuts down significantly on the attraction. And as others have said, he’s my freakin’ son!
This happens to me, too, and I’m still thinking “I wish I could get a piece of that”

Clearly the OP has never been to the Deep South.
My kids are adopted, so it is not just the “I made that”.
I don’t know if I can explain it - I just don’t react That Way to my daughter the way I do to the Lovely and Talented Mrs. Shodan. It is like (I suspect) being gay vs. being heterosexual - when I look at a guy, Mr. Happy is out of circuit. And it is not a conscious decision to avert my eyes or change my pattern of thinking away from sex. I do that with other girls my daughter’s age. But with my daughter, it’s different.
Regards,
Shodan
Hilarious. Really.
I think there might be something to this, as the last time I saw a photo of my only cousin, I found her quite attractive. However, I’ve only met her twice in my life, and the last time was when I was ten. Of course I still wouldn’t do anything with her, but I can imagine the thought of doing so being a lot more gross than it is if I had seen her all the time growing up and treated her like a sister instead of practically a stranger.
Have you?
Oh I’m sorry. The OP is asking a patently absurd question about why people don’t commit more incest and “inbred redneck” jokes are out of line?
