Question for Lyrica users

Interesting stuff, Lyrica, originally for people with seizures, but then it was found to help people with nerve pain, especially from Shingles. Finally, people wth fibromyalgia, taking it for something else, found out it stopped most symptoms of that.

Anyhow, I have been suffering from pretty bad pain in my glutes and legs for over a year from back problems. Had spinal injections, other procedures, and surgery last August, but the pain still persisted. Was on various opiates for a long time, and finally got off those.

Finally a doc started me on Lyrica a couple of months ago, increasing the dosage to a point where it really helps quite a bit with the pain. Not all gone, but back where I can tolerate it. I take 200 mg just before bedtime.

The only side effect I am experiencing is dizziness for most of the morning. Oh yeah, it really helps with my insomnia.

I have been to several sites checking out as much as I could find about it. The list of all side effects is pretty long, but as noted, only have one. Nowhere could I find any information on long-range effects, if any, or whether any studies had been done about this.

Anybody know of any information on that?
