Yep, Big and Tall stores are NOT Big and/or Tall stores.
Heh. I’m 5’11" and I have this same problem. I’ll find a shirt I love at Kohls or Target or somewhere, and I’ll find dozens of Small & Medium shirts, a few XL shirts, and the occasional XXL, but not a single Large, because apparently every other Large-wearing man in southeast Michigan went shopping earlier that day. Their entire remaining stock of Large shirts will be some ugly thing I wouldn’t be caught dead in (and apparently nobody else would either). Or I’ll find a pair of shoes that look good, only to find that, sorry, but they’re sold out of size 11.
::waves to my tall brothers and sisters with my gangly chimp arms::
I’m a woman who’s ‘only’ 5’10", but my arms and legs are ridiculously long. I have a 36" inseam, so my mind is boggling at the thought of you guys who are 6’5" and over with a 34" inseam. I agree with Ellen, tops are by far the hardest thing to find. Designers have finally realized there’s a need for tall pants for women (though seeing tall defined as 32" makes me crazy) but as far as they’re concerned, we all have normal torsos. Most of my sweatshirts and fleeces are from the men’s department, just so I have a shot at having my wrists and waist covered.
