I am posting this in Café Society, although not quite sure whether it belongs here or in General Questions, it having a factual answer.
OK, here goes. A recent U.K. case of a young Jehovah’s Witness woman who died after giving birth to twins and who might have refused a blood transfusion on religious grounds tangentially got me trying to remember in which book - fairly sure it was by Colin Bateman - is there an priest who, despite being a pretty good guy, has lost all his flock because he had needed a heart transplant and word had got out that he had been given a “Protestant” heart when he went to England to have the operation done.
I’m pretty sure I have the book, but as I moved house “only” about ten months ago, not all things are in logical, findable places just yet - you know how it is.
Oh, and for anyonenot knowing Colin Bateman’s books and being at all tempted to rush off to have a debate or a pitting about this idea, I should point out that the books are humorous crime fiction and there is no suggestion that this happens is the real world.
So, if anyone can help me further postpone the need to go through boxes and book-piles, thank you in advance.
(It would surely be ridiculous and against all tradition to get things all tidy and sorted out before having been in “new” flat for at least a year and a day.)
