Question regarding the Nibelungensage

Hi,

I’m reading the Nibelungensage in German. I wanted to verify is the “Burgunderland” mentioned in the saga is in present-day France or present-day Germany. I’m familiar with Bergundy in eastern France but sure where “Burgunderland” is situated in the Nibelungen saga. I look forward to your feedback.

It is indeed mostly in present-day France, but not coextensive with today’s region of Burgundy.
